Description
The contrast between the raw material and the metallic details gives it a powerful, almost sensual presence: a blend of strength and fragility, couture and ceramics.
The mixed clays create a mineral marbling in shades of grey, brown and terracotta, evoking a fabric worn by time. The irregular rim of the vase accentuates this organic and imperfect aspect, deliberately wabi-sabi.
Every detail – stitching, button, roughness – tells a story and makes this piece absolutely unique.

Symbolism
This piece plays with the codes of clothing: the corset, a symbol of constraint but also of beauty, is reinterpreted in clay. The stud buttons become poetic details that transform the ceramic into an object of memory and strength.

Each vase is designed in my studio in Grenoble, France. I draw inspiration from the raw textures of nature and Andean landscapes to create organic and timeless pieces. Small irregularities in shape and colour are part of the wabi-sabi philosophy: they highlight the beauty of imperfection and the artisanal nature of the piece.
